Dayl Thomas for Wilmington City Council District 7

Libertarian ready to serve you!

About Me

Hello! My name is Dayl Thomas. I was born in neighboring Delaware County, PA and grew up in nearby Kennett Square, PA. My mother was from Wilmington and my siblings and I would come to visit Wilmington to see relatives all the time growing up.

Fastforward 30+ years: After spending several years in Japan, my wife and I made the decision to come home to Delaware. There was no question on where to live and call our home; Wilmington!

And we have made it our home. Since our return, I've been actively involved in our community:

- President of the Wilmington Little League (2019-Present)

- Secretary of the Wilmington Little League for two years (2017-2019)

- Wilmington Little League coach for three seasons (2017-2019).

- Secretary of the Libertarian Party of Delaware (2018-Present)

- Secretary of the New Castle County Libertarian Party (2017-Present)

- Sunday School Teacher and English as a Second Language Teacher at Faith Baptist Church (2016 - Present)

- Volunteer my time through the NCCLP at the Sunday Breakfast Mission

- Local home school teacher

I have been a private teacher and tutor for the past nine years. However, before that , I was an Engineering Psychologist (Civilian Scientist) with the U.S. Air Force.

- This means that I am no stranger to million dollar budgets

- This means that I have already worked for the government at the federal level

- This means with my local volunteer work and former work as a government scientist, I am prepared to serve you as your councilman

Okay, enough about me. I want to hear what you think. I want to know who you are and what your concerns are. I'm not running for office for myself. I'm running for office so that your concerns are met, your tax bill is made lower, and so that the local government leaves you alone!

Please, I would love to hear from you! Contact me at and let me know how I can serve you!
